Former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren has received a double blow from the High Court. The court has rejected the petition challenging his arrest. On the other hand, it has also refused to grant interim bail for three days regarding uncle’s death. Although he has been allowed to attend only the last rites, he has been instructed not to talk to the media.
Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has received a big blow from the High Court. He had filed a petition in the High Court challenging his arrest, which has been rejected by the High Court. He had said that there is no case of money laundering and he is innocent.
The High Court rejected all his arguments. Let us tell you that the former CM of Jharkhand, lodged in Birsa Munda jail, has been given a double blow by the High Court. After the criminal petition challenging his arrest, summons and remand was dismissed, Soren had sought three days’ interim bail to attend his uncle’s funeral.
Justice Mukhopadhyay’s court refused to grant him bail for three days, allowing him only to attend the funeral. Hemant Soren had filed interim bail petition for Saturday, Sunday and Monday to attend the funeral of Raja Ram Soren i.e. his uncle.
Raja Ram Soren died on 30 April. However, the court had considered Soren’s petition to attend his uncle’s funeral. The court has directed him to attend the funeral in policy custody with the condition that he will not talk to the media.
After the rejection of Hemant Soren’s petition, BJP has targeted him. BJP state spokesperson Pratul Shah Dev said that this is a lesson. No matter how many expensive lawyers you hire for corrupt people in high positions, the hands of the law eventually reach you.
