A dispute in a bar in Ranchi has taken a violent turn. Police say that the attackers are unknown. Information about them is being sought. The incident happened on Sunday night. It is being told that there was a dispute over playing music in the bar. Actually, 4 to 5 boys were sitting and drinking alcohol in Ranchi’s Extreme Sports Bar, when they got into an argument with DJ operator Sandeep and the restaurant staff.
The boys reached the bar again at 1 o’clock in the night and fired a shot
However, the dispute was somehow resolved at that time. The drunken youths also left from there. But after the bar closed, around 1 am, these boys came again. One of the youths was carrying a rifle. He shot DJ operator Sandeep on his chest. Sandeep was seriously injured in the incident and fell on the ground.
Demand arose for security in the bar
Sandeep was immediately sent to RIMS. The doctors there declared him dead after examination. On Monday morning, the police team and officials expedited the investigation. CCTV footage of the bar and its surroundings is being scanned. The police say that the criminals will be arrested soon. This horrific incident has spread fear and there is a demand to increase security in bars.
Police said- SIT was formed
Ranchi SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha said that SIT has been formed to investigate the incident. Investigation is going on. One person has been taken into custody and is being questioned. Those who take the law into their own hands will not be spared.
This incident has brought back memories of the Jessica Lal murder case in Delhi in 1999. The only difference is that Manu Sharma had fired a shot when the bar did not serve alcohol after closing time. Here, the dispute was over the DJ and the young man lost his life.
