Jharkhand Breaking News! Jharkhand alert amid increasing cases of Corona in other states, health facilities reviewed

Jharkhand: State NHM Director Alok Trivedi said that in view of the increasing cases of corona virus in some states, the Jharkhand Health Department has already conducted a mock drill of the functioning of oxygen plants.

Jharkhand is prepared to deal with any surge in Corona cases. However, the situation is still under control. A health official said this on Saturday.

The official said that no new case of coronavirus has been reported in the state since two cases were reported in a hospital in Jamshedpur on December 18.

 Mock drill of functioning of oxygen plants done

State National Health Mission (NHM) Director Alok Trivedi said, in view of the increasing cases of corona virus in some states, the Jharkhand Health Department has already conducted a mock drill of the functioning of oxygen plants and the Center As per the instructions of the ICU, the number of beds available in oxygen support, non-oxygen support and ICU has been reviewed.

752 cases of corona in one day in the country

According to the data updated by the Union Health Ministry on Saturday, 752 cases of corona virus infection were reported in one day in India, which is the highest since May 21 this year. While active cases have increased to 3,420.

‘Wherever necessary, take precautionary measures’

he said, ‘No new cases have been reported in Jharkhand in the last few days. There are only two active cases in one hospital in Jamshedpur. There is no need to panic. We have urged people to take precautionary measures wherever necessary.

 A total of 21,680 beds are available in government health institutions

According to the Health Department data, a total of 21,680 beds are available in government health institutions. These include 11,356 with oxygen support, 5,276 without oxygen support, 1,447 ICU beds and 1,456 ventilator beds. Additionally, a total of 122 Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) oxygen producing plants have been installed in 93 government and private health institutions.
