According to the information, the rail track has been uprooted at many places due to the derailment of a goods train at Chandil crossing of Seraikela-Kharsawan on Monday. Eyewitnesses said that after the incident, the iron track rose up to some distance. After this incident, the movement of villagers of Sikli, College Mor has also been affected.
Preparations to cancel two trains
The operation of passenger trains of Tatanagar got affected due to derailment of goods train near Chandil railway gate. Preparations have started to cancel Hatia Express and Godda Express from Tatanagar due to jam in up and down lines, while dozens of tickets have been sold for both the trains from the ticket center. Here, on the orders of Chakradharpur division, a health desk has been opened at Tatanagar station to help the passengers, where three ticket inspectors and commercial officers are on duty.
An atmosphere of chaos
On Monday afternoon at around 12 o’clock, the goods train derailed and damaged the rail line. Due to this, the train operations on Tatanagar and Sini railway route have been closed for about one and a half hours. Due to this, there is an atmosphere of chaos among hundreds of passengers waiting for the train at Tatanagar station. Due to no orders from the headquarters, the railway employees are also not able to give any clear information to the passengers.
