An explosion has been reported on the railway track near Karo Bridge between Goilkera-Posaita railway stations in Chaibasa area of Jharkhand. According to reports, Maoists have blown up the railway track between Goilkera-Posaita by blasting a bomb, due to which the operation of trains on the Howrah-Mumbai railway line has been disrupted and many trains have come to a standstill. Railway officials have confirmed the incident.

It is reported that the Maoists committed this audacity around 10 pm on Thursday night. Shalimar-Kurla Express was stopped at Goilkera station after receiving information about the explosion on the railway track.
The driver of the goods train gave information about the explosion
Maoists have thrown banners and posters at the spot. The driver and guard of a goods train passing on another line first detected the explosion on the track. After this he informed this to the nearby railway station. As soon as the information was received, the railway officials immediately stopped the operation of trains on the route. After this, senior railway officials were sent to inspect the spot.
