A police sub-inspector has been shot dead in Jharkhand. The incident took place in Ranchi’s Kanke area last night. The person who shot the police officer is yet to be identified. The deceased police officer was a 2018 batch officer and was currently on leave. The incident is under investigation. An SIT has been formed to investigate the crime under the leadership of SP Rural Sumit Agarwal.

The deceased police officer’s colleague and batchmate Pawan Kumar has told that they had gone to Line Hotel to eat.
