A youth named Shravan Kumar Das was beaten to death by a mob in Cabin Tola located in Balidih police station area of Bokaro district. The young man is accused of killing a young man living in the neighborhood and throwing his dead body into the pond. The administration had to struggle hard for four hours to save the accused youth from the mob.
In Jharkhand, a case of a youth being tied to a tree and beaten to death has come to light. Police rescued the young man from the clutches of the people after four hours of effort in a half-dead condition.
According to information, a youth Shravan Kumar Das was beaten to death by a mob on Sunday in Cabin Tola located in Balidih police station area of Bokaro district.
The beaten youth is accused of murder. A young man from his neighborhood told that according to the village, the accused killed Kumar Oraon and threw the dead body in the pond.
Had the police taken action, the young man’s life would have been saved.
People said that according to the information about the disappearance of Kumar Oraon was given to the police station on August 5. The police did not take any action on this, otherwise the young man’s life could have been saved.
The relatives of the deceased told that on August 4, Shravan suddenly reached home at ten o’clock in the night. When according to Kumar Oraon was not found at home, he went to search in the neighborhood.
During this, according to the neighborhood, he met Kumar Oraon. It is alleged that according to Kumar, Shravan took Oraon with him saying that he would return in a while.
But, according to Kumar Oraon did not return home. On this, the relatives started searching in the morning. In this sequence, when according to Kumar Oraon’s relatives reached Shravan’s house. Ghar Shravan was present.
On this, when Kumar Oraon’s mother inquired about her son, Shravan shrugged it off by saying that Kumar Oraon must have gone somewhere, will come back.
Dead body found in the pond
It is reported that on Sunday morning, the local people saw the dead body floating in a pond in Koradih village. After this, the family members of Kumar Oraon identified him by his clothes.
Relatives told that according to the dead body it belonged to Kumar Oraon. After this the people of the entire township reached Shravan’s house and caught hold of him. They tied Shravan to a tree and started beating him. He was beaten to death.
Additional police had to be called to rescue the accused
Here, someone informed the police about this incident. After this the police also reached the spot and tried to free the accused Shravan. But, the angry mob did not spare Shravan.
After a long time, the additional police force was called and by some way the police took Shravan out of the crowd and admitted him to the hospital. Here his condition remains critical.
It took four hours for the police to rescue the accused Shravan. People say that Shravan was a young man of criminal image. Chaibasa has come out of jail only a few months ago.
His family members also have a hand in this incident. Station in-charge Rampravesh Kumar, who was present on the spot, has told that angry people have thrashed him.
After the youth regains consciousness, he will be interrogated. At present, Shravan’s mother and his sister have also been taken into custody.
