Assistant Professor Joint Competitive Examination for 26,001 posts in Jharkhand will be postponed. Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) may issue notice of postponement of the examination this week. According to the information released earlier by the Commission, the written examination is scheduled from January 12 to January 31.
After the instructions of Jharkhand High Court, now CTET and TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) pass candidates of other states are also to be included in this examination. In this regard, the School Education and Literacy Department is amending the primary school teacher appointment rules.
After amending the rules, it will have to be passed by the cabinet. After that it will have to be sent to JSSC through Personnel Department. JSSC will take applications from CTET pass and TET pass candidates from other states on the basis of revised rules. A certain time limit may be fixed for this.
JSSC can give 10-15 days time to these candidates. After that, there will be a written examination for the previously applied candidates as well as the newly applied CTET and TET pass candidates from other states. Therefore, the examination scheduled from January 12 can be postponed and conducted from February-March.
Let us also inform that Matric-Intermediate board examination is scheduled from 6th to 26th February. In such a situation, only after this the written examination of Assistant Professor can be conducted. According to the information, the new date of examination will be announced later.
Opportunity in Kasturba and Jharkhand girls schools also
Apart from assistant teachers, CTET and TET pass candidates from other states will also get a chance to participate in the appointment of Kasturba Gandhi Girls Residential School and Jharkhand Girls Residential School. Till now, there was a provision in the rules to allow only candidates who have passed the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test to participate in the appointment process. According to the instructions of the High Court, if CTET and TET pass candidates from other states become Assistant Professors, they will have to pass the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test in the first attempt within three years.
