Jharkhand Budget News: A budget of Rs 1 lakh 28 thousand 900 crore has been presented by Jharkhand Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon. This year the budget has increased by 3.7 percent compared to last year.
Jharkhand Budget 2024: Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon is presenting the budget during the budget session in Jharkhand Assembly. A budget of Rs 1 lakh 28 thousand 900 hundred crore has been presented by the Finance Minister. Rameshwar Oraon is presenting the budget for the fifth time.
A big announcement has been made by the government for the farmers. Loan waiver for farmers has been increased from Rs 50 thousand to Rs 2 lakh. Along with this, farmers holding NPA accounts have also been included in this scheme.
3.7 increase in budget
This year, Jharkhand’s budget has increased by 3.7 percent compared to last year. Last year the budget for the financial year was Rs 1 lakh 16 thousand 418 crore. Rs 91 thousand 832 crore has been kept for revenue expenditure in the year 2024-25. This year the economic growth rate is estimated to be 7.7 percent. An increase of 11.18 percent can be registered in the year 2024-25. Along with this, a target has been set to create an economy of Rs 10 trillion by 2030.
With this, the Finance Minister has estimated the revenue income to be Rs 53 thousand 500 crore. In this, Rs 34 thousand 200 crore is expected to be received from tax revenue, Rs 19 thousand 301 crore is expected to be received from non-revenue and Rs 16 thousand 961 crore is expected to be received from central assistance.
Opposition walk out
The opposition boycotted Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon’s reading of the budget in the House and went outside the House and raised slogans. Regarding this, it was said on behalf of the Finance Minister that he does not have the habit of listening to speeches.
Along with this, he targeted the opposition party and said that when their government was there, they used to feed the poor of the state with food. When the government was formed under the leadership of Hemant Soren, the poor got pulses along with rice.
