A case of gang rape of a girl from Chhattisgarh has come to light in Dumka, Jharkhand. This incident took place the next day after the gang rape of a foreign female tourist in Dumka district. The police officer said that in this incident, three co-actors of the girl (dancer) resident of Palamu gave her intoxicants and raped her in the car.
Another incident of gang rape has come to light in Palamu district of Jharkhand. Police said that a 21 year old stage artist (dancer) from Chhattisgarh was gang-raped by her co-stars.
According to the news agency, this incident took place the next day after the gang rape of a foreign female tourist in Dumka district. A police officer said that in this incident, three co-actors of the girl (dancer) resident of Palamu drugged her and raped her in the car.
Regarding the incident, SDPO Rakesh Singh said, ‘Two accused have been arrested and the victim has been admitted to a hospital in Palamu, where her medical test is being conducted.’
The incident took place late on Saturday night on a road in Vishrampur police station area, about 200 km from the state capital Ranchi. He told that the accused fled from the spot leaving the woman in an unconscious state.
SDPO said that the female artist had come from Chhattisgarh for a program in Vishrampur in Palamu district. She said, “Due to some reasons that event was not held, hence, she along with her male co-stars left for another event in Hussainabad.”
Singh said, ‘On the way to Hussainabad, she was given some intoxicant by the accused and then raped by the accused one by one. The accused ran away leaving the victim on the roadside in an unconscious state.
The officer said that the police received information about the incident on Sunday, after which two accused were arrested and the search for the third person is on.
Earlier, on Friday night, an incident of gang rape of a foreign tourist came to light in Dumka district. Three people have been arrested in this case, while the police is searching for the remaining four accused.
