Jharkhand Election: Congress and JMM joined hands, first list of candidates will come soon

Congress and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha will fight the Jharkhand assembly elections together. Senior party leaders gave this information. Congress will announce the candidates after Rahul Gandhi’s visit.

The dates for the Jharkhand assembly elections have been announced. After that, all the political parties are busy in making their own equations. Meanwhile, Congress and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) have decided to contest the elections together. This information was given by senior party leaders. Just a few days ago, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren met Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi in Delhi.

All India Congress Committee General Secretary and Congress party’s Jharkhand election in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir said that the party will release the first list of candidates after October 19. Mir further said that like 2019, we will contest the assembly elections with our alliance partners in the state. The seat sharing has almost been finalised and a final decision will be taken soon. We will release the first list of candidates after October 19.

Mir said that our leader Rahul Gandhi will hold a meeting with many organizations and communities of the state on October 19. He also said that the party is full of confidence and we are winning these elections. Mir said that we will work together with JMM for the development of the state. On the other hand, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has already said that the alliance led by JMM will contest elections on a total of 81 assembly seats in Jharkhand.

The term is ending in January 2025.

Elections will be held in Jharkhand in two phases. The first phase will be on November 13 and the second phase on November 20. Counting of votes will be done on November 23. The term of Jharkhand Assembly is ending in January 2025. Let us tell you that in the last assembly elections, the ruling Mahagathbandhan got 47 seats. In which JMM won 27, Congress 18, RJD and CPI (M) won one seat each.
