Jharkhand government has announced a health insurance scheme for employees. Employees will be able to avail this benefit from November 1. A cover of up to Rs 5 lakh will be given under this insurance. The government has asked for details for this.
The families of state government employees and retired employees will be provided the benefit of Jharkhand State Health Insurance from November 1 if required. Abu Imran, Campaign Director of National Health Mission,
Jharkhand and Executive Director of Jharkhand State Arogya Society (Jasas), has requested all the beneficiaries to avail this benefit by visiting the portal employeeswasthyabima.jharkhand.gov.in and providing the necessary details of themselves and the eligible members of their families. He has said that the beneficiaries who have already registered themselves do not need to register again.
Under the Jharkhand State Health Insurance Scheme, working/retired employees of all services of the state and their dependent family members will be provided the benefit of cashless treatment up to Rs 5 lakh every year. For this, an MoU has been signed between Jasas and Tata AIG Insurance Company on 30 September.
Who will get the benefit of health insurance scheme? Abu Imran, executive director of Jharkhand State Arogya Society (Jasas) has said that under Jharkhand State Health Insurance Scheme, state employees/ retired state employees of all services of the state and their family dependent members including husband/ wife, son/ legal adopted son (unemployed till the age of 25 years),
daughter/ unmarried/ widow/ abandoned daughter/ minor brother and unmarried sister, dependent parents (receiving pension less than Rs. 9 thousand per month and the then estimable dearness relief on it) will be included. Health insurance will be provided under the maximum limit of Rs. 05 (five) lakh per year per family collectively.
Employees of All India Services can avail the benefit
Along with this, former members/officials/employees of the Legislative Assembly, serving/retired officers/employees aspiring for All India Services and retired officers/employees of other services of the state, regular employees working/retired in various boards/corporations/institutions/organizations of the state government,
teachers and non-teaching staff working/retired in state universities and colleges affiliated to them can also avail the benefit of Jharkhand State Health Insurance Scheme by paying the insurance amount as prescribed for providing health insurance by the Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Department.
