Jharkhand Land Scam: In a case related to land fraud and corruption in Jharkhand, Jharkhand’s Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) raided the capital Ranchi on Wednesday (September 11). During this, ACB officials raided several locations of two Jharkhand Administrative Service officers in Ranchi, Hazaribagh, Giridih and Chaibasa for 8 to 9 hours continuously. After this, ACB has detained Hazaribagh SDO Shailesh Kumar and Noamundi Zonal Officer Manoj Kumar of West Singhbhum (Chaibasa) district for questioning. Both of them are being brought to Ranchi. The special thing is that both these officers have been ED witnesses in the much-discussed land scam of Bargain zone of Ranchi. ED had arrested Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren in this scam.

On Wednesday morning, the ACB raided the hideouts of both the officers and their family members. Apart from the official office and residence of Hazaribagh’s SDO Shailesh Kumar, the search of his father Uday Shankar Prasad’s and brother Rinku Sinha’s residence in Giridih continued till 3 pm. After this, they were also questioned. Similarly, the Noamundi zone office and the temporary residence of CO Manoj Kumar and his residence in Ranchi were also searched for hours. More than 60 ACB officers and policemen were deployed in this raid. Both these officers have been posted as COs in Ranchi’s Bargain zone.

ACB has officially informed that after receiving the order of investigation from the state government in the corruption case, ACB has started investigation against former CO of Bargain Zone Manoj Kumar and Shailesh Kumar. ACB has taken the investigation forward by duly informing the court in this matter. During the investigation, evidence was found against former CO of Bargain Manoj Kumar and Shailesh Kumar, while for the purpose of gathering more evidence, ACB took a warrant from the court. After this, raids were conducted at the offices and residences of these officers.
