The winter session of Jharkhand Assembly is going to start from today. Meanwhile, the Assembly Speaker held a meeting with the legislative party leaders and talked about security.

Change in rules

In the meeting with the Assembly Speaker, everyone expressed concern about the security of the Assembly. During this, Speaker Rabindranath Mahato made it clear that now there is no need for unnecessary people to come to the assembly premises. Apart from this, general entry will not be allowed in the spectator gallery.

According to the new rules, people known to the MLA will be able to go to the visitors’ gallery only on the written recommendation of the MLA. In such a situation, it is clear that entering the audience gallery will not be easy now.

Let us tell you that Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato held an all-party meeting on Thursday to discuss the smooth functioning of the House during the winter session starting from Friday. The five-day winter session of the Assembly will end on December 21.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Alamgir Alam, Leader of Opposition Amar Bauri, Minister Satyanand Bhokta, AJSU Party leader Lambodar Mahato and Communist Party of India (ML) Liberation MLA Vinod Singh were present in this meeting.

Assembly Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato told reporters, ‘It is the responsibility of both the ruling party and the opposition to run the House smoothly. I hope that there will be meaningful discussion on issues of public interest in the session.’

Chief Minister Hemant Soren said, ‘I hope that issues related to common people will be discussed during the session. The government will answer all the questions raised in the House.
