Jharkhand Latest Update : Jharkhand's IAS-IPS officers will have online classes, exam will have to be given after 3 months

It will be mandatory for all IAS-IPS officers working in Jharkhand to learn tribal languages. For this, there will be a 3-month online course in which officers will learn these languages. Then you will have to give the exam also.

On April 21 this year, when Civil Service Day was being celebrated in Ranchi, during a program, CM Hemant Soren asked the officers present in the hall that out of all the IAS and IPS present here, how many of them were Kurukh, Santhali etc. The language comes. There was silence in the hall on this question of CM. Because no administrative officer knew any such language, seeing this Hemant Soren reprimanded the officers for not knowing the local language.

Keeping this in view, the Jharkhand government has now decided that it will be mandatory for all IAS and IPS officers working in the state to learn tribal languages. For this, there will be an online course of 3 months, through which the officers will be able to know the culture and history of the tribal society along with Kurukh, Mundari, Khadiya, Ho, Santhali and Bhumij languages, so that the officers can interact with the tribals or common people of the village. Be able to speak the language.

The examination will be held after a 3-month course.

The Welfare Department has made this plan following the instructions of Chief Minister Hemant Soren. Tribal Research Institute (TRI) has also been asked to prepare the curriculum. According to Welfare Department official Mukesh Kumar, a 3-month course will be mandatory for all officers and after that an online examination will be taken. After passing the examination the officer will be given a certificate. There will be a provision for re-examination in case of failure.

The course will be launched on this day.

It was further informed that a workshop on this subject will soon be organized in the Tribal and Regional Languages Department of Ranchi University. The syllabus will be finalized in this. At the same time, this course will be officially launched on 15th November, the State Foundation Day.
