Jharkhand News: Electricity consumers in urban areas will get 5 units of free electricity by planting one tree. The government issued a notification. Forest Department, Municipal Council and Electricity Department will jointly work to realize this scheme.
Jharkhand News: Koderma district is located at a distance of 165 kilometers from Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. The state government has taken a good initiative in the urban area of this district. The state government has announced to provide 5 units of free electricity per tree to promote plantation in urban areas. This scheme has been implemented for urban areas and the notification regarding this has also reached the Forest Department.
Koderma DFO Suraj Kumar Singh said that the scheme is being widely publicized to provide its benefits. A joint action plan has been prepared for the forest department, municipal body and electricity department for 5 units of free electricity per tree. To avail the benefits of the scheme, application will have to be submitted to the municipal body by the month of February.
