Before the Lok Sabha elections, West Singhbhum District Police has got a big success. 15 active members associated with the Maoist organization surrendered before the police on Thursday. Two women Naxalites were also among the Maoists who surrendered in the surrender program organized at Chaibasa Police Centre.
15 active members associated with the Maoist organization surrendered before the police in Chaibasa, West Singhbhum on Thursday. Among the surrendered Maoists, two are female Naxalites, while 13 are male Naxalites. One of these Naxalite is also a minor. Serious cases have been registered against all of them for carrying out Naxalite violent incidents in various police stations of the district.
Police and CRPF officials welcomed the surrendered Naxalites into the mainstream of society by covering them with shawls and presenting them with bouquets. All the officers still called upon the Naxalites associated with the Naxalite organization to surrender and told that the surrender policy will improve the lives of the Naxalites and by joining the main stream of the society, they will be able to lead a better, happy and peaceful life with their families.

The Naxalites who surrendered also said that they were being exploited a lot in the Maoist organization. He could not live a peaceful life at his home. Every moment life was like a confrontation between life and death. Troubled by this, 15 active members have surrendered.

The campaign against Naxalites has been going on for two years.

On one hand, the police was after the Naxalites, on the other hand, the surrender policy issued by the government was forcing them to return back to the mainstream of society. This is the reason why all the Naxalites surrendered together before the security forces and administrative officials on Thursday.
According to the information received, all the Maoists who surrendered are residents of different police station areas of West Singhbhum district. DIG Manoj Kumar IV, CRPF DIG Puran Singh, CRPF Commandant Ambuj Nath, CRPF Commandant Pravesh Kumar, CRPF Commandant Sanjay Singh, DC Kuldeep Chaudhary, SP Ashutosh Shekhar, DDC, SDPO, along with CRPF and police personnel were present in the surrender program.
