Police on Wednesday arrested six criminals, including two accused of Mango double murder, who were plotting robbery in Jamshedpur. Looted items (aluminium and copper) have been recovered from the criminals.
SSP Kishore Kaushal gave this information in a press conference on Wednesday. He said that the arrested criminals include Bhim Murmu Musabani, Dhirendra Mahato Adityapur, Mukesh Kumar Mahato Seraikela, Raj Mahato RIT and Raju Tanti and Shatrughan Hansda.
Among them, Chauka resident Raju Tanti alias Bhuvan Tanti and Shatrughan Hansda Mango of Gamharia are accused of double murder. The police were conducting raids in search of both. The accused arrested in the case had given information about Raju and Shatrughan’s involvement in the murder case.
According to the SSP, one ton of aluminum and copper cable has been recovered from the criminals, which was stolen from the DVC Power Station in Taladih on the night of January 8. On the other hand, one country-made pistol, three bullets, Rs 13,000 in cash, two bikes, five mobiles and a 407 truck have been seized.
Criminal records of the accused are being scrutinized
According to the police, eight cases are registered against Raju Tanti in Mango, Chowka, Tamad and Musabani, while two cases are registered against Shatrughan Hansda in Mango and Musabani. At the same time, the criminal records of other accused are being scrutinized. By interrogating everyone, information about many cases has been obtained, in which investigation is going on.
Police took action on Gupta information
SSP Kishore Kaushal said that secret information was received that some people have gathered at night near the pump house on the banks of Swarnarekha river in Benasol village of Musabani, who appear to be criminals and are talking about carrying out some incident. Due to this, the police formed a team and raided the pump house and chased everyone away and arrested them. After interrogation everyone was sent to jail.
Both the accused in the murder case were absconding after the incident.
Police were conducting raids after the incident in search of both the accused of Mango double murder. Information was given about the involvement of Raju Tanti and Shatrughan Hansda in the murder case. The police will take him on remand and try to find out the mystery of the murder. Chauda Raju, the main conspirator of the murder of constable Ramdev Mahato and Tanda, is currently lodged in a jail in Bengal.
Mango police has applied to take him on remand but the police there is interrogating him in the Sheikh Pappu and Amjad murder case. Since remand has not been obtained, Mango police is preparing to file a remand application and interrogate Chauda Raju in jail. Here, after being interrogated on remand, Moin was sent to jail, while efforts have been made to take Amjad on remand.
