Jharkhand News! Meteorological Department issued red alert for heavy rain and lightning in Jharkhand, all schools up to class 12 closed

A government notification said that the state government has closed all schools up to class 12. The Meteorological Department has issued a ‘red alert’ for extremely heavy rains, thunderstorms and lightning for seven districts of the state and an ‘orange alert’ for four districts.

NDRF teams have been deployed on Friday to rescue people from low-lying areas affected by continuous rain in Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi and Deoghar. Officials have given this information. An NDRF official said that rescue operations are going on in low-lying areas including New Bandgari area of ​​​​Saddar police station area of ​​​​Ranchi.

NDRF’s Brajesh Kumar Singh said, ‘Our team led by Deputy Commandant Vinay Kumar has so far rescued about 40 people from low-lying areas of Ranchi.’ A senior official said that all districts are on alert due to continuous rain. Ranchi has recorded 90 mm of rain.

All schools up to class 12th closed in Jharkhand

Keeping in mind the forecast of heavy rains issued by the Meteorological Department, the Jharkhand government has ordered to keep all types of schools (government and private) operating in the state closed for classes up to 12th tomorrow, i.e. 3rd August.

Heavy rains are occurring in many areas of the country. Due to the weather, tragedies like landslides and floods have occurred in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Wayanad of Kerala. Waterlogging is being seen in many areas of Delhi-NCR due to rain. After the torrential rains, Delhi Education Minister Atishi had announced that all the schools in the city will remain closed on August 1.
