During the budget session in Jharkhand, JMM MLA Hemlal Murmu talked about implementing the 1932 Khatian based domicile. He said that Babulal Marandi played an important role in toppling his government. Babulal Marandi said that when a separate Jharkhand state was formed in 2000, he brought in the 1932 based domicile due to which he lost his seat and Arjun Munda came to power.
Jharkhand News: During the discussion on law and order in the budget session of Jharkhand Assembly on Friday, JMM MLA Hemlal Murmu talked about implementing the 1932 Khatian based domicile. Meanwhile, Babu Lal Marandi also retaliated and told who had toppled his government at that time.
In fact, during the discussion in the assembly, JMM MLA Hemlal Murmu said that when a separate Jharkhand state was formed on 15 November 2000, Babulal Marandi had the privilege of becoming the first Chief Minister.
Then he had brought 1932 based domicile, the result of which was that Babulal had to lose his chair and the reins of power went into the hands of Arjun Munda. But Babu Lal Marandi got very angry at Hemlal Murmu’s words and directly retorted and said that you had a big role in toppling my government.

Hemlal Murmu was a member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India. He represented the Rajmahal constituency of Jharkhand and was the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from Rajmahal (Lok Sabha constituency) in 2019. He left the party in 2023 and is currently a member of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha.
Don’t make allegations in the air, there is no problem in health: Health Minister
On the other hand, in response to another question, Health Minister Irfan Ansari denied any irregularities in the National Health Mission. On BJP MLA Raj Sinha’s allegation of irregularities of Rs 50 crore, he said that do not make allegations in the air. There is no problem in health.
He said that there has been some irregularity in the Janani Suraksha Yojana in Koderma and Godda. Action has also been taken to register an FIR in this case. Earlier, Raj Sinha said that there have been huge irregularities in the programs of National Health Mission.
The state government is trying to cover it up. The matter of irregularities has also come up in the audit, which the minister is challenging. On this, the minister said that the MLA should give written information with evidence. He will definitely get it investigated.
