Jharkhand Politics: The party has suddenly removed Raghuvar Das, who was the CM of Jharkhand, from mainstream politics and has now made him the Governor of Odisha. In such a situation, it is believed that there is every possibility of Saryu Rai, angry with Raghuvar Das, returning to BJP.
Raghuvar Das and Saryu Rai, these two names in Jharkhand politics are such that they have never got along with each other. Raghuvar Das has been in a relationship with Saryu Rai, a native of Bihar, for thirty-six years, but now the news being received is that Saryu Das may return home i.e. re-enter BJP.
In Raghuvar Das’s government, Rai was made the minister of Food Supply Department, although during his tenure, Saryu Rai never got along with Raghuvar Das. Once Rai walked out of a cabinet meeting in anger. Later he stopped participating in the cabinet meeting. The result of this tension was that the party did not give ticket to Saryu Rai in the 2019 assembly elections on the insistence of Raghuvar Das.
Ultimately, Rai rebelled against BJP and contested the elections as an independent candidate against Raghuvar Das and Raghuvar had to face defeat. Saryu Rai is an independent MLA from Jamshedpur (East) seat. Before this he was MLA from Jamshedpur (West).
Saryu Rai has been saying that the party had canceled his ticket only on the insistence of Raghuvar Das. In anger, he became an independent candidate and contested the elections from Raghuvar Das’s seat, Jamshedpur (East). Raghuvar Das had to face defeat. Before that, while being in BJP, Saryu Rai had defeated Congress candidate Banna Gupta in the 2014 elections.
Saryu Rai still maintains relations with Sangh and party leaders. He was irritated only with Raghuvar Das. Now that Raghuvar Das has been made the Governor of Odisha, the possibility of Saryu Rai’s return to BJP has also increased. There is speculation that by making Raghuvar the Governor, BJP has made way for Saryu Rai. Some even say that messing with Saryu Rai proved costly for Raghuvar Das. Anyway, Rai’s record is that whoever he went after, he managed to defeat him.
From Lalu Yadav to Madhu Koda have become victims of Saryu Rai. It was he who exposed the fodder scam and Alcatra scam in undivided Bihar. In which many people including Lalu Yadav were punished. Rai had also exposed the corruption of Madhu Koda government.
