Monsoon had weakened slightly in Jharkhand for the last two days. But from Sunday again activity is being seen in the monsoon. On Sunday, where light to moderate rainfall was observed in the capital Ranchi, there was considerable rainfall in the surrounding districts like Chaibasa and Khunti.
On the other hand, the situation remained normal in other districts. But the good thing is that there is a possibility of heavy rains in some districts of Jharkhand for the next 3 days.
Abhishek Anand, meteorologist of Ranchi Meteorological Centre, told Local 18 that the monsoon had weakened a bit in between. But for the coming three-four days, there is a forecast of good rain in other districts including the capital. Because the effect of the cyclone formed in the Bay of Bengal will be seen in Jharkhand.
It is expected from this cyclonic circulation that there is still a deficit of 38% in the state. There was a slight decrease in it. Because by now it should have rained 638.9 mm, but so far only 398.3 mm of rain has been recorded.
There will be a lot of rain between August 14 and 18.
Abhishek Anand told that on August 14, light to moderate rain will be seen in the entire state. On August 15, heavy rain is expected in some districts. Like Dhanbad, Bokaro, Ranchi, Seraikela Kharsawan and East Singhbhum and Ramgarh. On August 16, heavy rain is expected in Garhwa, Palamu, Latehar, Lohardaga, Gumla, Simdega, Khunti, West Singhbhum. On the other hand, on August 17 and 18, heavy to very heavy rain is expected in Garhwa, Palamu, Ranchi, Lohardaga, Gumla, Khunti, Chatra and Latehar.
Sufficient rain has been received till August 11.
Abhishek Anand told that till August 11, Jharkhand has seen a lot of rain. The good thing is that this is the time for paddy sowing and this rain has proved to be a boon for the farmer brothers and sisters. After this the monsoon has weakened. But we have full hope that there will be good rains in the coming four-five days due to the cyclonic circulation in the Bay of Bengal. Due to this, the deficiency rate will come down and the farmers will also get a big relief.
