The big news is from Jharkhand, where three people died tragically in an accident, while many others are reported to be injured. The incident took place near Kokmara village under Matihana Panchayat of Baharagora block area of Ghatshila.
According to the information, digging of loose soil was going on on the side of Chakulia-Bahragora main road near Kokmara village under Matihana Panchayat of the block. During this time the soil subsided. Three women laborers died at the spot due to mudslide while four women laborers were injured. The incident is said to have happened around 11:30 am on Wednesday. All the injured women were brought to Baharagora Community Health Center for treatment where 4 women laborers are undergoing treatment.
It is said that all the women are residents of Baniya Kundar village of Bhootiya Panchayat. After receiving immediate information, Baharagora police station in-charge Vikas Kumar and zonal officer Bhole Shankar Mahato reached the spot with their team. He immediately called for a JCB and pulled out the injured and the dead from the mud. The injured were sent to Baharagora Community Health Center with the help of 108 ambulance.
