JHTET Exam Pattern Changed There has been a big change in Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JHTET). Now this exam will not be computer based but will be on OMR sheet. There is also relaxation in age limit to participate in it. This change will provide great relief to the candidates. After 17 years, the way has been cleared for conducting this exam in Jharkhand.
State Bureau, Ranchi. Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JET) organized by Jharkhand Public Service Commission will now be conducted on OMR sheet instead of being computer based. Also, there will be no age limit to participate in it.
For this, the JHTET Exam Pattern Changed has been amended in the JHTET rules formed this year. The State Council of Ministers has approved it. With this, the way has been cleared for conducting this exam in Jharkhand after 17 years. Along with the appointment of the chairman, the commission will issue an advertisement for this exam.
Candidates waited for 17 years
After 17 years, the state government had constituted the JAT Examination Rules by issuing a notification on 21 February 2024 regarding the conduct of Jharkhand Eligibility Test for the appointment of Assistant Professor in the universities, constituent and affiliated colleges (including deficit-grant minority colleges) of the state.
The Higher and Technical Education Department had sent the recommendation for the conduct of this examination to the Jharkhand Public Service Commission as soon as the rules were framed. The Commission had issued a formal notification informing that this examination would be conducted in May-June this year.
However, the advertisement for this exam could not be issued. Meanwhile, the commission suggested to the department to conduct this exam on OMR sheet instead of computer based. It also said that there should be no maximum age limit, which was accepted by the department.
In the previously framed rules, it was stated that the maximum age limit for appearing in this examination will be the same as that prescribed by the Personnel Department. Let us tell you that this examination was conducted in the state earlier in the year 2006-07. After this, this examination could not be conducted here.
PhD admission will be based on JEE exam only
Now, admission to PhD in state universities will also be done through JEE exam. Provision for this has also been made in JEE exam rules.
The exam will be of two papers
The JEE exam will have two papers in which objective type questions will be asked. The first paper will be related to teaching, research ability and reasoning in which 50 questions of 2 marks each will be asked. The second paper will be of the related subject in which 100 questions of 2 marks each will be asked. There will be no gap between the two papers. Thus this exam will be of total 3 hours. There will be no negative marking in this.
