Land Scam Case : CM Hemant Soren may appear before ED today, notice received in land scam

ED has sent notice to Chief Minister Hemant Soren for the sixth time. At that time he did not appear even once. In this case, ED has arrested 14 people including IAS officer Chhavi Ranjan.  

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren is likely to appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) today in a money laundering case related to the alleged land scam. ED has sent a fresh summons to CM Soren for questioning in connection with the investigation of the case. Soren has been asked to appear at the agency office and record his statement under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

Let us tell you, ED has sent notice to Chief Minister Hemant Soren for the sixth time. At that time he did not appear even once. In this case, ED has arrested 14 people including IAS officer Chhavi Ranjan.

After the summons was issued by ED, Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday attacked the central investigating agencies. Soren said that efforts are being made to tarnish the image of his government by using central agencies.

Know what is the matter

It is alleged that land in Jharkhand has been grabbed by the land mafia by illegally changing its ownership. ED is investigating this matter. So far 14 people have been arrested in this case. These include 2011 batch IAS officer Chhavi Ranjan, who has held the post of Director of the State Social Welfare Department and Deputy Commissioner of Ranchi.
