Maiya Samman Yojana: In Jharkhand, the bank accounts of about 20 lakh women beneficiaries are yet to be linked with Aadhaar. So far, the bank accounts of 40 lakh beneficiaries have been linked with Aadhaar. The amount will be sent after the verification work is completed. The amount for January, February and March can be sent in lump sum.
Maiya Samman Yojana: Ranchi, Sunil Kumar Jha-The date fixed for receiving the amount for February under the Jharkhand Chief Minister Maiya Samman Yojana will end on Saturday (15 February). The beneficiaries of the scheme have received the amount till December. In such a situation, now the amount for two months January and February will be pending. The state government has already provided the amount till March to the districts for the scheme. Even after this, the main reason for not transferring the amount is believed to be the process of verification of the beneficiary’s application not being completed.
20 lakh bank accounts yet to be linked to Aadhaar
So far, the bank accounts of 40 lakh beneficiaries have been linked to their Aadhaar. In this, the bank accounts of 37 lakh beneficiaries have already been linked to Aadhaar, while from January till now the bank accounts of about three lakh more beneficiaries have been linked to Aadhaar. Even after this, the bank accounts of about 20 lakh beneficiaries are yet to be linked to Aadhaar. If the amount is transferred only to those beneficiaries whose bank account is linked to Aadhaar, then a large number of beneficiaries may be deprived of getting the honor amount. In such a situation, the Social Welfare Department is preparing that even if the beneficiary has to pay the outstanding amount together, the verification process should be completed before that. By doing this, the amount will not be transferred to any ineligible beneficiary. That is, if needed, the amount of January, February along with March can also be given together. That is, the beneficiaries will get Rs 7500 in lump sum.
Verification was to be completed in January itself
The Social Welfare Department had directed to complete the verification process of the beneficiaries of Mainiya Samman Yojana in January itself, but the districts have not completed this process till now. The department has also given a reminder to the districts. However, according to the preliminary report sent by the districts, the verification process is in the final stage. It is worth noting that as per the resolution issued regarding the scheme, the amount cannot be transferred to bank accounts without Aadhaar after December. In such a situation, the department had also prepared a proposal to give exemption in this till March, but till now a final decision has not been taken on it.
