Ranchi Airport Parking Rate: A maximum time of 5 minutes has been prescribed for pickup and drop in front of the terminal building. The 5 minutes allotted for pickup and drop will also be a part of the 10 minutes free time.
Ranchi. A new parking system will be implemented at Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi from May 1 for the arrival and departure of vehicles. Now there will be 10 minutes free time for private vehicles from entry to exit at the airport. A maximum time of 5 minutes has been fixed for pickup and drop in front of the terminal building. The 5 minutes allotted for pickup and drop will also be a part of the 10 minutes free time. To reduce the problem of jam, additional parking space for 350 vehicles has been allotted near the passenger terminal building at this airport.
Vehicle parking fee fixed
In the coming time, automatic system for parking will be implemented at the airport. Apart from this, appropriate measures will be taken with the help of the district administration to prevent parking of unauthorized vehicles. There can be a change in the parking fee for commercial cars i.e. not authorized licensee of AAI. After 2 hours, the parking fee for four wheelers will be increased by Rs 10 per hour. Similarly, after 2 hours, parking charges for two-wheelers will also be increased at the rate of Rs 5 per hour. Parking rates beyond 7 hours and up to 24 hours will be 300% on slabs from 30 minutes to 120 minutes and every 24 hours or part thereof.
Three lanes set up
Lane No. 1- Private vehicle will stop from zero for 10 minutes, no charge will be taken for this. Lane No. 2- Private vehicle, Rs 30 will be charged for stopping more than 10 minutes. Lane No. 3- Commercial vehicle
Charge for staying at airport for 30 minutes
Rs 250 for bus-truck and tempo, Rs 80 for mini bus, Rs 35 for commercial car, Rs 40 for premium car, Rs 15 for two-wheelers.
Charge for stay of 30 minutes to 120 minutes
Rs 170 for bus-truck, Rs 60 for tempo, mini bus. Rs 30 for commercial car, Rs 75 for premium car, Rs 10 for two wheelers
