New Traffic Rules : Driving license will be suspended if you miss the challan, Modi government’s new strict rule

If drivers fail to pay the e-challan fine within three months, their license may be suspended. If they break the rules repeatedly, their insurance premium may be increased. The government will use new technology to take strict action.

If you have not paid the fine for your vehicle’s e-challan within three months, your driving license may be suspended. Not only this, but the license of drivers who violate traffic rules three times in a financial year can be confiscated for at least three months. Therefore, drivers should pay their e-challan dues on time, otherwise they may have to pay a hefty fine.
Insurance premiums may increase if traffic rules are broken!

The government is now preparing to take stricter action against reckless drivers. Only 40% of the e-challan amount has been recovered, and traffic rules are being violated on a large scale. To control this, it is being considered to increase the insurance premium of vehicles for drivers who have at least two challans in the last financial year. Therefore, this can be a serious issue for drivers.

Use of new technology for traffic rules

The Supreme Court has recently asked 23 states and 7 Union Territories to submit compliance reports on the implementation of the Motor Vehicles Act. Under the new rules, speed cameras, CCTV, speed-guns, body-worn cameras and Automatic Number Plate Recognition System (ANPR) will be widely used to improve traffic management. Therefore, drivers who violate the rules will no longer get any exemption.

The recovery rate in many states including Delhi is alarming!

According to a TOI report, only 14% of fines have been collected in Delhi, while 21% have been collected in Karnataka, 27% in Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh, and 29% in Odisha. On the other hand, states like Rajasthan, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Haryana have collected 62% to 76% of fines.

Drivers will receive notifications every month!

There are some major reasons why people do not pay e-challans on time. Sometimes the challans are received late or wrong challans are issued. Keeping this in mind, the government will soon implement a new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), in which vehicle owners will be sent information about their pending fines every month.

Now there will be heavy fines if you break the rules!

If you do not pay the e-challan on time, it can directly affect your driving license. This makes it necessary to be more vigilant while driving in the future. The government will not tolerate any kind of violation of the rules now, so pay the fine on time and follow the traffic rules!
