Noida-Greater Noida Expressway: Underpasses are being constructed at three places on the expressway. Work is currently underway on two underpasses being constructed between Sectors 142/168 and 96/125. The work of Sector 152 Safipur underpass has been completed.
Noida-Greater Noida Expressway Traffic Diversion: There is an important news for the passengers going on Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. Due to the underpass being built between Sector 96/126, traffic diversion will be implemented from Tuesday. This diversion will be for the next one and a half months.
While coming from Greater Noida towards Noida, the traffic will pass through service road in 300 to 400 meter portion. About 100 meters before and 50 meters ahead of the underpass where the underpass is being built, a new road has been constructed between the expressway and the service road. The traffic coming towards Noida will be diverted on this road only.
Pushing technique could not be implemented
This underpass was earlier to be constructed with pushing technique. On construction with this technique, the traffic would move on the expressway, while pushing the machine down, the soil would be removed and concrete boxes would be placed, but this could not happen because the plan had to be postponed due to the problem of road subsidence.
According to media reports, box pushing has started for one way from Sector-96 on the road going from Noida to Gater Noida. Box pushing will also be done for the second route, but it will be only up to half the distance. On the road coming from Greater Noida to Noida, the boxes of both the roads will be kept by excavating the road.
Sign boards giving information about traffic diversion have been installed on Monday night itself. Barricading will be installed about 100 meters from the construction site. The employees of the construction company will be continuously present on the spot so that the situation of jam does not arise.
