Lok Sabha Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh said that at present there is no proposal before the government to increase the minimum amount of pension and family pension. Along with this, he informed that under the central government, the amount of minimum wage has been fixed at ₹ 9000.

Answering the question in the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh said that at present there are about 4441245 pension holders. Out of them, 2093462 family pension holders are also included in this.

In 2022-23, Rs 241777 crore has been spent by the government on these. Along with this, while replying in the Lok Sabha, the Minister of State for Personnel has clarified that at present, no idea of ​​increasing the minimum pension amount has been placed before the government. .

Minister gave information on 8th Pay Commission 

Earlier, information was also given by the minister on the 8th Pay Commission. Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chowdhary also gave information amid the continuous discussion of the 8th Pay Commission and said that at present no plan is in front of the government to bring the 8th Pay Commission.

The tradition of changing the Pay Commission every 10 years is being followed. At present, plans are being made to change it, but as of now there is no proposal before the government.

Dearness allowance will be increased

Let us inform that the dearness allowance will be increased once again by the central government. Dearness allowance can be increased by 3 percent. In such a situation DA can increase to 45%. At the same time, the rate of dearness allowance can be revised after 50% DA. Along with this, the employees’ union is continuously making a big demand from the government regarding the increase in the minimum wage.

In such a situation, the discussion about the formation of a new pay commission had intensified. However, after the government’s clarification, it is certain that at present the government does not have any plan to set up a new pay commission. A different method can be adopted for salary calculation.
