LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana: Under the Bima Sakhi Yojana, women will be trained to become LIC agents. During this period, 5 to 7 thousand rupees will be given every month. Apart from this, commission will also be given.

LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday (9 December) launched the Bima Sakhi Yojana of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) from Panipat, Haryana. The aim of this scheme is to make women self-reliant. While launching this scheme, PM Modi said that India is continuously taking steps towards women empowerment. On this occasion, PM Modi also symbolically handed over appointment letters to some Bima Sakhis.

Under the Bima Sakhi Yojana, women will be given training to become LIC agents. During this, 5 to 7 thousand rupees will also be given every month. Apart from this, commission will also be given.

Who can apply

Bima Sakhi Yojana is only for women. To apply in this, one must have at least 10th pass certificate. Only women between 18 to 70 years will be able to apply in this.

 Special training and stipend for 3 years

The statement further said that under this scheme, women will be given special training and stipend for the first 3 years to promote financial literacy and insurance awareness.

Opportunity to become LIC Agent to Development Officer

After training, women can work as LIC Agent and Graduate Bima Sakhis will also get an opportunity to work in the role of Development Officer in LIC.

7 thousand rupees will be given to women every month

At the beginning of this scheme, women will be given 7,000 rupees every month. In the second year, this amount will be increased to 6,000 rupees and in the third year, 5,000 rupees will be given every month. In this way, women can earn 84 thousand rupees in the first year, 72 thousand rupees in the second year and 60 thousand rupees in the third year. Apart from this, Bima Sakhi will also be given a separate commission.
