Railway Alert: Jharkhand’s first Vistadome coach, which used to make the travel experience even more special, has now been discontinued. This coach was especially for tourists and passengers who wanted to enjoy the natural scenery.
The train was run from New Giridih to Ranchi with great hope. It had become easy for the people of Giridih to go to Ranchi, but now a bad news is coming about this train. Actually, the decision to stop the Vistadome coach in Ranchi Intercity Express has been taken by the Railways. Let us tell you that this train was started in September last year. Vistadome coach was started for the first time in Jharkhand with this train.
Vistadome coach is a special coach, which has been started by the Railways to promote tourism. Its special feature is that the seat in this bogie rotates 180 degrees. Along with this, large glass panes have been installed, sitting in which the passengers can enjoy the beautiful views outside including the waterfalls, mountains on the way, but now the Railways has stopped it.
Let us tell you that train number 13513 was initially being run from New Giridih to Ranchi, but later it was extended and started running from Asansol station. According to the railways, the reason for closing it is lack of passengers. Many times it used to happen when there were only 1 or 2 passengers in the entire bogie. By the way, the fare of this bogie from New Giridih to Ranchi was Rs 1260. Whereas for such a chair car, only Rs 465 has to be paid.
Senior DCM of Dhanbad division Animesh Kumar says that many times there were no passengers in the train, along with this, the Vistadome coach has also been pelted with stones earlier. Keeping this in mind, the decision has been taken to ban it. Train number 13513 New Giridih to Ranchi train departs from Asansol station at 4:10 am. It reaches Madhupur at 5:30 am and New Giridih at 6:21. Along with this, it reaches Koderma station via Rajdhanwar at 8:20 am, after which it reaches Hazaribagh, Mesra at 1:40 pm.
Train number 13514 departs from Ranchi at 3:15 pm and reaches Koderma at 7:00 pm. It also arrives at New Giridih station at 9:30 pm and then reaches Asansol via Madhupur at 11:40 pm.
