The torture of cold continues. Many states including Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh are experiencing cold. On Monday afternoon, there was some relief due to sunshine in different areas. However, there has been dense fog since this morning and there is also the effect of cold weather.
Delhi’s maximum temperature rose to 22.6 degrees Celsius on Monday while the night temperature was recorded at 6.8 degrees Celsius, 2 degrees below normal. The Meteorological Department office has predicted mainly clear sky during the day on Tuesday while it will be cloudy in the evening.
Apart from this, light to moderate fog is also expected in the morning due to which people may face problems in traffic. There is also a possibility that travel by trains and airplanes may be affected.
Chances of rain in many areas of Rajasthan
Due to the activation of Western Disturbance, there are chances of light rain in many areas of Rajasthan in the coming days. According to Meteorological Center Jaipur, 2 western disturbances are likely to be active in the state in the coming days.
The first disturbance will be active from January 31 to February 1. It is expected to impact the north-western and northern parts of the state in the form of light rain.
The second western disturbance will be active on 3-4 February. Due to its effect, there is a possibility of light rain with thunder at isolated places in Bikaner division, Shekhawati region and Jaipur division between February 3 and 4.
The weather is likely to remain generally dry in the southern parts of the state in the coming days. Dense fog is also likely to be recorded at isolated places in the northern and western parts of the state in the next 2 days.
There will be rain in UP and Bihar also
According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of rain in different areas of Uttar Pradesh from January 31. There is a possibility of drizzle amid cloud movement in Lucknow. However, the disturbance will definitely provide some relief from the cold. According to meteorologist Atul Singh, the direction of the wind coming from the north-west has changed.
Now Purva is moving. Due to this, the fog remained partial but there may be light fog in the morning and evening for the next two days. At the same time, there are chances of rain in 24 districts of Bihar from February 1. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning regarding light rain.
Since this morning, most of the cities of the state including Patna are in the grip of fog. In the coming days, people will not only get relief from cold during the day, but the minimum temperature is also going to rise.
