Ration Alert: Big News! In the name of free ration, you may not become a victim of fraud, know what to keep in mind

Ration Card Alert: Various schemes are going on in the country, through which help is provided to the poor and needy people. One such scheme is the Ration Card Scheme, under which ration cards are made for the eligible people.

After this, every month the cardholder gets things like wheat and rice from the government ration shop at cheap prices. At the same time, from the time of Corona, the government started a program to provide free ration to the people, which has now been continued till the end of 2023. But in the midst of all this, you have to take care of some things. Otherwise fraudsters can also cheat you in the name of free ration. So let’s know what you have to take care of. You can learn about this in the next slides…

Keep these things in mind: –

Avoiding fake calls

You have to keep in mind that you can get fake calls. Fraudsters are working to cheat people by making fake calls in the name of free ration. Keep in mind that the government or any government official does not call you and ask for your confidential information.

Do not share banking information

Keep in mind that if you have received a call for free ration, never share your banking information on any such call. These people can be fake and cheat you. It has been clearly stated by the Food and Logistics Department that they never ask for your banking information through calls.

Avoiding e-KYC

Nowadays fraudsters are also cheating people in the name of getting e-KYC done for free ration. People are being asked to get e-KYC done by calling or messaging. You have to stay away from such calls or messages. Contact your ration dealer or ration office only for KYC.

Avoid sharing confidential information

You should know one thing that the Food and Logistics Department can call you anytime and ask you for any document. Like- does not ask for Aadhaar card number, PAN card number, ration card number and banking information etc. In such a situation, if someone asks you on this call, then it can be fake. So beware of such calls.
