Fastag KYC will be mandatory
New rules for Fastag are being implemented across the country from August 1. In such a situation, Fastag KYC will be mandatory for vehicle drivers from August 1. Under the new rules, if you have a Fastag that is three to five years old, then you will have to update your KYC. Fastags that are more than five years old will have to be replaced before October 31.
Penalty will have to be paid for filing ITR
Wednesday was the last day to file income tax returns. If you have not been able to file ITR, then you will have to pay a penalty from August 1, 2024. According to the rule, those with income less than Rs 5 lakh will have to pay a penalty of Rs 1000 after August 1. Also, a fine of up to Rs 5,000 may have to be paid.
Change in HDFC Bank’s credit card rules
HDFC has announced changes in its credit card rules from August 1. Now, for making payments through HDFC Bank credit card or using third party apps like credit, cheque, Mobikwik, Freecharge, you will have to pay one percent on the transaction amount. Its limit has been fixed up to Rs 3000. At the same time, you will have to pay one percent service charge on fuel transactions of more than Rs 15000. Changes have also been made in the rules of Tata New Infinity and Tata New Plus credit cards.
Google Maps services got cheaper
Google Maps has changed its billing policy, which will come into effect from August 1, 2024. After the new change, Google Maps has reduced the charges levied on Indians by 70 percent. Not only this, Google Maps has promised to charge its fees in Indian rupees instead of dollars.
The effect of the reduction in Google Maps’ fees will not be seen on common users. It will be applicable on those users who use Google Maps for business. Before August 1, Google used to charge four to five dollars per month for navigation in India. However, now after August 1, 2004, it has been reduced to 0.38 to 1.50 dollars.
Banks will remain closed for 14 days
Banks will remain closed for a total of 14 days in August. This includes holidays from Janmashtami to Independence Day. In such a situation, if you have any important work related to the bank, then go to work only after looking at the list of holidays.
