Due to winter, school holidays have been extended in many districts of UP including Agra. According to reports, the people of the state may have to face severe cold for a few more days.
The entire North India along with the hilly areas is facing the brunt of winter. Life is disrupted due to cold in many states including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan. At many places, people have even lost their lives due to cold and fog. Due to winter, schools in many places have not been open for a long time. The effect of cold will continue in the coming days also. Due to which orders have been given to extend school holidays in many districts of UP.
In view of the cold wave, schools are being closed everywhere. In view of the increasing cold, on the orders of Hathras District Officer Archana Verma, BSA Upendra Gupta has issued an order to keep schools from nursery to class 8 closed. According to the instructions, schools from nursery to class 8 of all boards will remain closed in Hathras on January 19 and 20.
Apart from this, in view of the extreme cold, cold wave and severe melting in Aligarh, on the instructions of District Officer Indra Vikram Singh, District Basic Education Officer Dr. Rakesh Kumar Singh has ordered the closure of schools from nursery to class 8.
At the same time, in Agra also, the District Magistrate had given instructions to BSA to keep schools up to 8th class closed. Apart from these, holidays have been declared in schools in many other districts of the state also due to cold.
What should farmer brothers do?
During winter time, farmers should maintain moisture in the fields to protect the crops from cold. Farmer brothers should use net or plastic in the fields to cover the crops. It helps in protecting the crops from cold.
Also, farmers should sprinkle water on crops at night. Apart from this, farmers should apply nitrogen fertilizer to the crops. Farmer brothers should harvest their crops as soon as possible to save their crops during the winter season. After harvesting the crops, dry them as soon as possible.
