School timings should be changed in view of cold
Jharkhand Parents Association has written a letter to the Principal Secretary of the Education Department and all the DCs of the state demanding changes in school timings and holidays. Union President Ajay Rai has written in the letter that it has been extremely cold in the capital Ranchi for the last several days.
Due to this the health of small children is deteriorating. Even after this, neither the timings have been changed nor holidays have been given by the schools. He has demanded change in school timings in view of the cold and holiday in schools considering the situation.
Demand for change in school timings due to cold wave
All Jharkhand Primary Teachers Association has demanded closure of primary and middle schools or change in their timings in view of cold wave and cold.
Chief spokesperson of the union Naseem Ahmed has said that due to drop in temperature children are facing problems of fever, cough and vomiting. In such a situation, holidays should be given in schools or the timings should be changed from 10 am to 2 pm.
