Twitter checkmark: Twitter will start removing the legacy verified checkmark for individuals and verified organizations from today i.e. April 20. The deadline was shared by Twitter CEO Elon Musk on April 12.
This means that if you have a legacy verified account on Twitter with the blue checkmark, you will need to pay to keep it as before. If you do not pay, the tick will be removed from the account name and you will not be a member of Twitter Blue.
How much rupees will you get Tick?
The price for Twitter Blue varies by region and depends on how you sign up. In the United States, there is a $11 per month or $114.99 per year plan for iOS or Android users and $8 per month or $84 per year for web users. In India, Twitter Blue costs ₹900 monthly for iOS, ₹650 monthly for web users while the annual price for iOS is ₹9400. For Android users, the monthly price is ₹900 while the annual price is ₹9,400.
To retain the blue tick, the Twitter Verified account has shared an update saying, “To stay verified on Twitter, people can sign up for Twitter Blue here.”

The move to pay to get verified ticks has been taken in order to generate the required revenue for the social media giant. The social media platform also shared a separate plan to charge businesses and organizations $1,000 per month for the Verified badge (gold for brands, companies and nonprofits; gray for governments).
