The application process for new constable recruitment in Uttar Pradesh Police (UP Police Constable Recruitment 2023) has started. The link for the application form has been activated by Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board i.e. UPPRPB. After releasing the recruitment notification by UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, it has been revealed that a total of 60244 constable vacancies have come out. Out of the total vacancies, 6024 vacancies are for EWS category, 24102 vacancies are for General category, 1204 vacancies are for ST category, 12650 vacancies are for SC category and 12650 vacancies are for OBC category.

How will the selection be done?

The first stage in the UP Police Constable selection process is the objective based written examination. The total duration of this exam is 2 hours. Candidates will have to obtain the required qualifying marks to advance to the next round of the recruitment process. There will be a total of 150 questions in this exam. 2 marks are prescribed for each question. In this case the entire paper will be of 300 marks. Along with the result, category wise cut off list will also be released.

After passing the written examination in the first phase, applicants will have to get their documents verified. The documents which will be submitted at the time of registration will have to be produced by all the applicants during the document verification round.
