UPI Payment : UPI can be run without internet even with button phone, know how this service works

Most of the users would know that these UPI based apps work only through internet connectivity on a smartphone.

But now you can do UPI transactions even without internet connection and smartphone using just your button phone. You can also do UPI transactions using your normal push button phone only without a smartphone or internet connectivity

The craze for UPI based transactions has increased rapidly in the country . Through the UPI system, we can transfer money from anywhere to anyone within just a few seconds or can even order it from anyone.

Apart from this, UPI based app is also used for things like shopping, bill payment and ticket booking. However, most of the users would know that these UPI based apps work only through internet connectivity on a smartphone. But now you can do UPI transactions even without internet connection and smartphone using just your button phone.

UPI transaction can be done even without smartphone

You can also do UPI transactions using your normal push button phone only, without a smartphone or internet connectivity. You can do this through UPI 123PAY service. You can also transfer money through UPI 123PAY through Interactive Voice Response (IVR) or just by missed call. Let us know about its complete process.

You can initiate a UPI transaction by calling IVR numbers such as 080 4516 3666, 080 4516 3581 and 6366 200 200. After the UPI ID is verified, users can proceed for payment by following the instructions given on the call.

Via missed call

Apart from this, you can also make UPI payment through missed call. Users can send or receive money and make bill payments by giving a missed call on the number provided at the merchant store. For this, a token will be generated with your mobile number and bill amount.

You can then give a missed call to the merchant on the number provided and you will receive a call from 08071 800 800 for verification of the transaction. You will then need to enter your UPI PIN to complete the process.
