Vande Bharat Train: Big announcement..Students of this state will get free travel opportunity in Vande Bharat train

Vande Bharat Train: 50 students will be given free travel in Vande Bharat Express. The Railway Minister has given information about this in Cuttack, Odisha.

Vande Bharat Train: Who would not want to sit in India’s top class train i.e. Vande Bharat Express. Although, its fare is a bit higher than other trains, but what if someone gets to travel in this train for free. In Odisha’s Cuttack, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on Saturday said that 50 students of Saraswati Vidya Mandir School will be selected through a competition and given free travel on the Vande Bharat Express.

The Union Minister performed Bhoomi Pujan of Saraswati Vidya Mandir School on Sunday and also interacted with the students. Talking to reporters, Vaishnav said, ‘When the students saw the video of Vande Bharat, they had a desire to travel in Vande Bharat Express. A competition will be held and 50 students selected from among them will be given a ride.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched Odisha’s first Vande Bharat train between Puri to Howrah through video conferencing on 18 May. The Union Minister also appreciated the redevelopment work at Bhubaneswar Railway Station and said that he would visit and inspect the station site tomorrow.

He said, ‘It is a matter of pride that the prestigious Bhubaneswar Rajdhani train will get a new ‘Tejas’ rake from tomorrow. It is the vision of PM Modi to provide better facilities to the passengers. Redevelopment work will be done at Bhubaneswar railway station. I will visit and inspect Bhubaneswar Railway Station tomorrow.

What is Amrit Bharat Station Scheme?

Let us inform that earlier Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the redevelopment of 508 railway stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme through video conferencing from the national capital. These include 11 stations on Khurda Road and a total of 25 stations in Odisha.

Several Union Ministers and Chief Ministers or Governors also attended the foundation stone laying ceremony from their respective states where the respective railway stations are to be completely redesigned. The estimated cost of this mega project is Rs 25,000 crore (approx).

These 508 stations are spread over 27 states and union territories, including 55 each in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, 49 in Bihar, 44 in Maharashtra, 37 in West Bengal, 34 in Madhya Pradesh, 32 in Assam, 25 in Odisha, Punjab has 22 stations, Gujarat and Telangana 21 each, Jharkhand 20, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu 18 each, Haryana 15 and Karnataka 13, among others.

According to an official release, the redevelopment will provide modern passenger amenities as well as well-designed traffic circulation, inter-modal integration and well-designed signage to guide commuters. AMRUT Bharat Station Scheme has been launched for the redevelopment of 1,309 stations across the country.
