There is great news for the people waiting for the new Vande Bharat from Katra to Delhi. According to the information received, the new Vande Bharat Express train will operate on this route from December 30.
Apart from this, there is also good news for the people of Kathua and Udhampur of Jammu. According to the website of the Railway Ministry, the Vande Bharat Express train running from Katra to Delhi will also stop at Kathua and Udhampur. This will provide great relief to the passengers of Kathua and Udhampur.

Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he wrote that now the new Vande Bharat train will run from December 30, but its stoppages will now also be at Udhampur and Kathua. This will not only come as a great relief but will also provide ease of travel, ease of doing business and overall ease of living.

Indian Railways also achieved a significant milestone in the Udhampur-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project with the successful completion of 3,209 meter long tunnel T-1 between Katra and Reasi stations on December 20, the toughest new railway line project .
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday that the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project is considered to be the most difficult new railway line project undertaken in the country after independence.
Work on new line continues in Jammu and Kashmir.
Work on new line in Jammu and Kashmir is being done under USBRL project. Vaishnav said, out of total 272 km of the project, 161 km has already been commissioned. He also said, work on Katra-Banihal (111 km) section has been started. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 37,012 crore, against which Rs 34,261 crore has been spent on the project till March 2023. An outlay of Rs 5,310 crore has been allocated for the year 2023-24. The T-1 tunnel is located at the base of the Trikuta Hills near Katra in Reasi district and is a vital component of the project, which is maintained by Konkan Railways.
