Waqf Amendment Bill: Tejashwi Yadav surrounded the government over the Waqf Amendment Bill, said a big thing for BJP

Waqf Amendment Bill: The government introduced the Waqf Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha on Thursday. Leader of Opposition in Bihar Tejashwi Yadav cornered the NDA government over this. He said that the amendment in the Waqf Act is a well-planned conspiracy. BJP-JDU and LJP are partners in this tool of polarization.

Tejashwi Yadav issued a press statement and said, “After receiving suggestions and discussions from many Muslim organizations including All India Muslim Personal Law Board, scholars and Muslim leaders of our party, our national president Lalu Prasad Yadav and I had asked our MPs of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha to strongly oppose this anti-constitutional bill.”

He said that Article 29 of the Constitution gives autonomy and freedom to every religion and we will continue to fight against every policy and intention that seeks to deny its respect. Our team members in the Joint Parliamentary Committee will strongly put forth their views on every aspect point by point.

It is noteworthy that the Central Government introduced the Waqf Board (Amendment) Bill in the Lok Sabha on Thursday. After opposition from the opposition, it has been sent to the Parliamentary Committee. Earlier, BJP state president Dr. Dilip Jaiswal and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary supported the Waqf Amendment Bill.

Let us tell you that on June 11, Deputy Secretary of Bihar Government Law Department Sanjay Kumar wrote a letter to all the Divisional Commissioners and all the District Magistrates. It was said in the letter that after investigating the assets of the religious trust under the state of Bihar, it should be uploaded on the departmental portal Bihar State Religious Trust Council. He also said that this is an effective step to stop the purchase and sale of the property of monastery temples.
