Gumla Police has received the Smart Policing Award for its work against human trafficking. The honor ceremony was held at FICCI Federation House, New Delhi. Where Gumla SP Dr. Ehtesham Waqarib received the honour.
Gumla . Gumla district is a tribal dominated area and a Naxal affected area. Due to absence of big industries and factories here, innocent people migrate to other states in search of work. Many times they also become victims of human trafficking. To stop this, Ahtu Club was established by Gumla Police. The police has also got a lot of success in this.
Seeing this success of Gumla Police, it has received the award for Smart Policing. The honor ceremony was held at FICCI Federation House, New Delhi. Where Gumla SP Dr. Ehtesham Waqarib received the honour.
FICCI Smart Policing Award awarded
FICCI has honored it for the good work done in Gumla in the field of smart policing. Let us tell you that in the presence of retired DGP Prakash Singh and former Special DG of CISF Manjari Jaruhar, Gumla Police and Jharkhand Police were honored with FICCI Smart Policing Award for their better work against human trafficking.
For this award, 25 police officers from different categories from 17 states across the country were selected. Jharkhand state was selected for this award for the first time.
